The imRAD® N1(v1.1.1) was developed by Basein Networks, Inc.[1] and provides the RADIUS(Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) and DHCPv4/6 server services. RADIUS provides centralized Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting management for users who connect and use a network service and it is the back-end of choice for 802.1X authentication as well[2].

WPA(Wi-Fi Protected Access)-Enterprise is designed for enterprise networks and requires a RADIUS authentication server. This requires a more complicated setup but provides additional security (e.g. protection against dictionary attacks on short passwords).
Various kinds of the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) are used for authentication. WPA-Enterprise mode is available with both WPA and WPA2[3].

The imRAD® N1 also provides the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) service to dynamically assign IP addresses to DHCP clients. With this DHCP server, you can experience new features such as " Auto Reservation", " Username Reservation", " Cleanup Dormant Reservation", " Force release", and so on.

You can operate both RADIUS and DHCP services, and you can also serve only one of them.
